Well, if you think the cheetah is the fastest land animal, probably you're wrong. Cheetah can burst up from 121 to 120km/h(70 - 75 mph) and the tiger beetle just can run up to 8km/h(5 mph).

Still thinking cheetah is faster? okay lets look on the other way of looking how fast they are by calculating the speed by the body length.
The cheetah has the fastest speed burst but can only run at maximum speed for 25 body lengths. However the tiger beetle, can run up to 171 times its size in one second. Despite its famous reputation, the cheetah would have to run 770 kilometers per hour just to catch up with this slippery insect.
